Rogue favorite Barry Smith (Jesus in Montana, American Squatter) returns with a brand new multimedia comedy. Barry has always resisted “adult” employment, instead getting by on a lifetime of odd jobs. This show examines the consequences (and rewards) of a life spent following one’s bliss.

Solo Multimedia Comedy, 55 minutes, Rated PG

While I hold a place in my heart for “Jesus in Montana” because it was the first time to ever see this particular format, this was easily Barry’s best work because it spoke to everyman themes of work and disgust with work. His humor and smart writing skills therefore strike nerves within us all.
While his other two shows were more voyeuristic for audiences, this show took us all on familiar trips. His skills with power-point are well thought out and very clever, and his delivery is just so natural it becomes impossible not to just sit back and enjoy what he says and does.
This is definitely one of the best! Laughed to the point of tears through the whole show! GO SEE IT!
Creative and hilarious. Great visuals, great presentation. One of the best at the Rogue — every year!
This is the perfect Fringe show, and not just because Barry Smith’s script is so elegantly self-referential about Fringing. “Every Job I’ve Ever Had” shows what it’s possible to achieve with the Fringe format and with Smith’s form of multimedia presentation. This is a wonderfully written script perfectly performed by an artist who has mastered his tools … and best of all, Smith shows you exactly how he got to this level of mastery. To risk a hackneyed and sentimental word, this show is inspirational. Don’t miss it.
“Smith’s Every Job I’ve Ever Had surpasses his previous shows, offering up a funny, touching, and moving look at being a seeker and a wanderer in a world where one’s work defines one’s self.”

Highly recommend this show! Fantastically funny!
Barry tops himself each year! This show is brilliant and hilarious! A MUST SEE!!! A very impressive and stellar power point presentation! I fully related to his job editing medical copy and photos (I’ve done that!) and the seminars are just that boring!!!
P.S. My first car was a Corvair too!
Another top pick of the Rogue. The timing and visuals on Barry’s current show are great. If you’ve loved him in previous years you’ll love this year’s show and if you’ve never seen one of his shows you owe to yourself to catch this one.
This was easily the funniest show I have seen in a long time. The multimedia was brilliantly done, with a fantastic ending. I LOVED this performance.
Great show! Story, timing, just plain funny material…go see this!
The above Youtube link is to a promo video for my show – click it! I thought it would show up with a thumbnail so it would be obvious, but it didn’t, so now I have to post what will hopefully not be the first in a long list of explanatory post-posts.
And here it is again – in case you missed it –
