Yummy! Legs, breasts and thighs are here to dance their way across the stage for your enjoyment. Through theatrical scenarios and both playful and moving dance sequences, “8 Piece Legs and Thighs” shoots a bullet of humor that pierces our defensive armor and allows us to laugh at our continued obsession with sexuality, physicality, weight loss and objectification as part of the woman’s eternal plight for redefinition. Featuring a variety of dance styles including contemporary modern, jazz, tap and performance art techniques, this dance performance promises entertainment for all who attend.

Beth Megill remains one of my favorite performer/choreographers in my life. I just love how she combined acting, different dance styles, and performance art into one telling piece. Her theme was terrific, and I also very much enjoy that she’s fearless, putting herself into looks and situations other dancer’s ego’s wouldn’t begin to allow.
The technical aspects were sad – one speaker went out and the lighting was desperately needed to be better to help tell this story and highlight the movements and bodies of these dancers.
I wish Beth could just once get ahold of the highest of skill dancers like a Mia Michaels so we could see the absolute pinnacle of what her choreography could provide – while she did quite well with her dance team, it’d be great to unleash her potential on the world.
I love what you guys are up too. This sort of clever work and reporting! Keep up the superb works guys I’ve added you guys to my own blogroll.
This was a great show. Super fun and very creative. The technique was beautiful and I just could not take my eyes off the dancers. It was a joy to watch and definately a must see!!!! This is want Rogue is about: GO SEE MEGILL AND CO!
Wonderful show! A new take on self-acceptance, “8 Piece Legs and Thighs” is a thoughtful and fun show with a ridiculous amount of talent packed into a small cast. Definitely a must-see performance!
What a gift to have Beth Megill back in Fresno! Don’t avoid this because you’re not a dance fan: Beth is a master storyteller who can take the most cliched themes of modern dance and remaster them into a very poignant and very, very funny message about self-acceptance. Only Beth could have envisioned a comfy nightie as a symbol of contentment and inner-peace. It’s a bonus that all five dancers have beautiful technique, too.
I previewed this show on Sunday. So much fun!
If you have never seen Megill & Company DO NOT miss your chance this time around. Beth’s work is the perfect combination of all that is beautiful and hilarious about dance. I can’t wait!
