So what venue is the show going to be at? I see times listed, but I cannot find any information on what mainstage venue that they are performing at on this website. Also, it appears that the pic on this page is broken, or at least unviewable on IE.
According to their website http://redtriangleproductions.com/apocalypsehoedown.html the venue is to be the Million Too. But I can’t find any link for them there or on any of the pages relating to show dates.
All links look good and are working great. Thank you very much Webmaster!
I, for one, will be boycotting this shameless celebration of perversion!
I’ve seen Cap’n Scurvy at both the burlesque and July 4th fire eating/dancing exhibitions, and I can say you MUST see this show! He’s hilarious, talented, miraculous, and hot hot hot in the extreme!
And Concerned Mother, while I support your right to do as you please, I would suggest that the rogue fest might not be the kind of entertainment you are looking for, and wonder why you visit the website other than to protest.
Without a doubt, this was the most intelligent and hilarious performance I’ve seen in all my years of attending Rogue. Listen very carefully, you’d be a fool to miss this performance. They had a long line today, and I expect it to grow as word of mouth spreads. So arrive early and witness perhaps the all-time greatest comedic role-play in the history of the festival! Oh, and they juggle swords too…
I laughed for a hour straight, this show is just so damn funny, irreverent and witty with a lot of “Fresno” humor thrown in. The talking Jesus was the best. The Reverend and the Cap’n have made a believer out of me and for only the low low price of $1.99!!
Only one more showing of this for Rogue 2010. Saturday night @ 8:30 at the Million Too. Don’t miss this one!!
Naughty, dirty, blasphemous, entertaining, engaging, and HILARIOUS! This show is so much fun that the hour just seems to fly by! You will be engaged and entertained. The banter keeps you paying attention and hanging on the Captains words to catch everything. You could probably see this again and pick up a dozen jokes you missed the first time around. Crude, bawdy, and probably offensive to the prudish or extremely religious. For the rest of us who enjoy a good nasty joke, GO SEE IT!
The medicine show just keeps getting better and better. New props and the new “assistant” are great contributors to the humor and blasphemy of Cap’n Scurvy and The Reverend. Great job, guys!!
This was a really fun show with a high energy snake oil salesman, impressive verbiage, and juggling. Funny stuff! A couple moments of the show were a bit over the top for me. They may have “crossed a line” (and this is a matter of personal taste; I’m a prude), but they don’t stay there long. Great use of music, and a unique theme and vibe to the show. This is still probably one of my favorites this year.

I decided against boycotting this show. I am so glad I went! The reverend healed me of my rheumatism, and one nice young lady had her womb miraculously healed. She gave birth to a miracle cracker baby! They juggled machetes, ate fire, played banjo, guitar, and harmonica, and proved that their snake oil is more powerful than God! God must be so embarrassed! I got my own bottle of snake oil for only a dollar ninety nine! I could have had three for twenty, but I’m broke. They also had a special deal: buy one for the price of two, get the second one half off! And it comes with a 100% double-negative guarantee. I can’t wait to see their finale on Saturday at 8:30pm, at Million Too. I’ll bring my dancing shoes!!!
I’m so sorry I waited til the last show to see this, cuz I need to see it again to catch all the wonderful humor.
This is local production at it’s very very best. The script is incredibly funny and tight, the performances tailor-made. Just memorizing this long skit would have been hard enough, but to pull it off with impeccable timing and charismatic talent makes it a tremendous Rogue hit.
I’m glad word of mouth did spread, as the final show was wall-to-wall packed, standing room only.
What I liked best was how any slight mistakes, heckling or confusion was handled with seemingly prepared lines, proving these two men master improvizers as well.
One of my very favorite Rogue shows ever, making me so proud they’re from Fresno. I hope they take this show on the fringe circuit.
