Hello all. I was just reading the lovely Rogue Map 2009. As I went through each page I realized that there were no acknowledgments of the founders or volunteers etc, as had been done in previous Rogue Maps. To me it seems this would be very important for without them , the Rogue Festival would NOT exist.

Terry,
You are right; we would not be where we are, or able to do what we do without the hard work and dedication of the founders and all of the Rogue volunteers. We love them!!!! Unfortunately, the Rogue Map filled up fast, and was lacking the extra space we’ve had in the past. We would have had to add four pages (because of the way it is printed) to add just one page of text. We’ll try harder next year to fit this in, because I agree with you: it is very important.

It’s coming, it’s coming, yippee, the Rogue is coming. Gads, I love the Rogue. Waiting for it is better than Christmas - no family bickering or overspending, just the lovely anticipation of discovering fabulous entertainment.

I didn’t see a place to comment or contribute on “Rogue Media”, but
on the *front page* of this week’s Kingsburg Recorder is a big phat
article on The Blake & Baba Show. (It includes an actual action shot
of the theremin being played!) I don’t think we’re on the online version
–at least yet— http://www.kingsburgrecorder.com. I think we were bumped
by a botched bank robbery.

I wanted you to know that I just finished a rehearsal with Grammy-award winning drummer Steve Mitchell and the other members of teh BENJAMIN BOONE QUARTET, and he is in RARE FORM and ready to deliver the best Rogue performance to date. Also, keyboardist and KFSR DJ David Aus has written three incredible tunes that will be premiered at the Rogue Festival. The first show we will have a special guest — guitar virtuoso MIKE DANA, and the next Friday, virtiuoso EVA SCOW, Our last show will be our CD RELEASE PARTY (a live recording from Rogue 2008) — so dont miss out on this critically acclaimed show at the Severance theater!
