My art is described as Bas Relief Mixed Medium. It is, in fact, a unique technique that requires the use of processed materials ground up into a paste and set into a frame creating a three dimensional picture. The subject matter includes spiritual and natural images rich in color and detail.

Well, the photo above can’t show what this art really is, a combination of many media that is actually 3-D, like a sculpture in a frame that’s been painted.

I particularly liked one piece where the headless female form (as they all are) is actually ‘broken’ in places, naturally shearing itself throughout parts of the body. The work is characterized as ‘Bas-Relief’ (I had to ask what that means), which gives it a palpable feel and texture, whether you’re up-close or further away.

These look like something you’d find in a museum, not on your wall at home, but they are definitely worth examining…the work that went into these is clear and amazing…the time it must have taken to accomplish these pieces!

As an artist, I love to share my inspiration and motive. Positive or nagative comment is always useful for me and I’m happy to hear it.

I’m happy to be a part of Rogue this year because it gives me opportunity to talk about my work. I just know now that I need that much attention from the people to get to know my inspiration, what I really mean in my painting. Actually it makes me feel better to let people know how I feel.
