Looking forward to doing this show with my fellow vocalist and goddess Debi Ruud! We have a great little band, a variety of stories and songs, some sordid twists and turns, several costume changes, and a happy ending, so don’t miss it!

Karen… your link was broken… http://www.myspace.com/karenmarguth …. but I fixed it and found your page with your music samples…… wow…. sounds great…

If I find myself ambulatory I’ll have to come to one of your shows….. wait a minute…. you’re on after us on Feb 28th…… HA!!!!… I don’t have to be ambulatory!!! Well… it’ll just require our designated driver being available…..

    ooooh…. I still need to find a designated driver…

  3. Pat Says:

I look forward to hearing you once again, Karen. You’ve always had such great shows!! See you, and I hope everyone else, there!!

  4. Stephen Says:

    Oh, it’s cute. It’s quaint.

And that’s about it. Cute and quaint.

The venue isn’t the best for acoustics and sound mixing, tho, so some of the great singing those two ladies can produce is lost…just some, tho. It’s a fun little show, and I do recommend it as a fun choice for Rogue-goers.

  5. Rachael Myers Says:

Quite fun, the music was wonderful in a sultry bluesy way. The story was cute but we both could have done with just a straight on concert and left the story behind. I would still recommend anyone go see the show.

  6. Sue Bennett-Kahler Says:

Fun show! So glad I caught it. Great music, great singers and fun entertainment. I recommend it!

  7. Jennifer Says:

These two little ladies have huge voices and huge talent. Don’t listen to the naysayers, this is a don’t miss event for everyone who loves real singing talent.

  8. Ann Says:

Very fun little show… but the quality of musicianship it what is astounding. The two female singers have the best voices you’ll ever hear and the musicians that back them are world class. Be sure to pay attention to the piano player, he is amazing.

  9. Joyce Says:

I would have prefered a straight concert. I have heard both of the women before, and was really looking forward to a musical feast for my ears. It was a feast, but the story was like buzzing flies, distracting from the musical food.

  10. bill adams Says:

These gals can sing!!! They have stage presence galore, a really hot band and if you missed their show this year too bad for you. It was the highlight of the Rogue for me.

  11. blake Says:

FIrst-rate musicians and vocalists. Three sold out shows. Lots of laughs. Lots of verve.
Looking forward to what they bring us next year.

  12. Annette Ash Says:

Bravo….Loved the show!! Debbie and Karen, you two teaming up….what else can it be other than a slam-dunk. My daughter and I loved the show, I wish all my girls could have seen it. Very fun show!

  13. Blake Says:

    Cute? Quaint? What a drudge!
Judging from the reactions of the audience when we saw the show, everyone had a rollicking good time. I have heard Karen do a “straight” concert & she is wonderful either way. This was the 1st time we’d heard Debi and she must be wonderful by her self. Together these ladies were fantastic!

  14. Leann I Am Says:

Awesome show! That’s a whole lotta talent to fit inside that end of the patio.

  15. Russell Noland of Songs 4 Pints Says:

… Lot’s of fun….. Thanks for flirting with our friend’s husband. That was funny. I agree with it all… I don’t remember any problems with the sound…. everything sounded great… I think the venue is just fine for those acts that don’t need much technical help to sound good…. Just need ‘em to hear us in the back.

I did find myself mildly distracted with one thing. I couldn’t see the narrator behind the sound equipment. If it was pre-recorded narration I probably could have ignored it. But pretty sure it was one of the guys back there speaking so I kept wanting to see him. Just food for thought….. not everyone in your audience has ADHD though ;-)

lol… yeah… and if I was watching him speak I might not have been watching your costume changes.

  16. blake Says:

Just saying…the “Blake” with the capital “B” is not me (Blake Jones/Rogue Festival Venue Manager/Performer). I’m the one at comment 11. Maybe I should start using me full name.
[though I too enjoyed the show]

  17. Blake Says:

What’s wrong with letting Blake be blake?

  18. Karen Says:

    Hi all,
Thanks so much for all the feedback. It’s so good to hear what the audience thinks, and it gives ideas for how to improve/change/refine, etc…. Debi and I had a blast doing the show, and we both feel this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship, musically and personally. Thanks to all the Rogue volunteers who made the show run so smoothly for us. Cheers!
