Homeless Dog was written by a homeless woman, Pamela Kincaid, during her fight with the City of Fresno to keep her possessions. The experimental adaptation of the poem explores her world. Altar with Wad of Gum, Dead Roach, Bent Key Card, and Broken Chopstick, Spattered with Cobalt Paint, a poem by Dixie Salazar, contrasts the inner workings of downtown Fresno’s galleries and office life with the outer world of the homeless.
