I strive to show the connections between the spiritual world and the natural world with my artwork. To do this I combine my interests in nature, ancient history, and spirituality. I work in several mediums: I draw with colored pencil, paint with watercolor or acrylics, and use photography.

When I walk outside, I am bombarded by images and color. Science tells us these images are read by our eyes and decoded in our brain. One may question what was lost in the message; what does my brain make up, and what do I really see? My art reflects this juxtaposition of reality and illusion.

My art is described as Bas Relief Mixed Medium. It is, in fact, a unique technique that requires the use of processed materials ground up into a paste and set into a frame creating a three dimensional picture. The subject matter includes spiritual and natural images rich in color and detail.

This one woman show is playwright Jerry Crawford’s experiment in creating a modern day Blanch Dubois. Jerry explores the question, “What happens to certain women who may not be prepared to cope with the realities living in a sexually liberated society.”
