Dynamite Kablammo arrives from the Los Angeles underground to present an hour of their greatest, fastest, and most hilarious sketches (so far). DK has been secretly rocking the Southland for the past year and a half to sell-out crowds with their unique brand of quick-paced, absurdist comedy. During that time, they’ve been nominated for theater awards, glowingly reviewed in Backstage West, and extending runs due to audience demand. omigawd….I am still laughing an hour later. AND still processing everything I saw. These four actors give 200% to each and every sketch. This is a MUST SEE of the Rogue 2008.

Wow! These guys were awesome–absolutely HA-larious. We just could not stop laughing. The group did not miss a beat, from one skit to the next they continued to bring the laughs. I could’ve done with out the gross-out moment in the very last skit but hey, to each his own right. Do not miss Dynamite Kablammo!

I LOVED this sketch comedy show! It’s probably the most polished, seamless sketch show I’ve ever seen. It is fast-paced without becoming chaotic, and the four performers are all talented actors (great pacing and facial expressions) and singers (the show makes great use of music). It was completely shocking (spitbaby! You’ll see…) and funny, and it’s very hard to pick a favorite sketch. This is a really fun show!

If you’re looking for a show to make you laugh, and well…laugh then Dynamite Kablammo is about as safe a bet as you will ever come across. There’s singing, dancing, the ubiquitous hormone therapy sketch (ok, so a hormone therapy sketch really isn’t ubiquitous, but it should be), as well as flash sketches (those short 30sec type sketches), and of course the “spitbaby” sketch. If you haven’t heard about this one yet–you will. Spitbaby will by that portion of the Rogue that people will be talking about for sometime. Sort of the, “Oh, yeah, I tried not to, but I couldn’t help but watch. I knew it was coming, but I couldn’t turn away.”

Funny, cynical, wickedly insightful, well written, well performed, and did I mention as funny as hell?

The four performers have talent and chutzpah. They’re willing to do anything on stage and they do it well. The musical numbers are ingenious and hilarious.

But what impressed me even more than the acting and singing was the tight writing. Dynamite Kablammo is willing to cut to the bone to get a laugh. They’re also willing to be sublimely silly. Best of all, they have mastered the art of leaving a sketch just soon enough. They get in, milk all the jokes they can, and get out. Nobody gets hurt.

Very imaginative stuff!!! Makes you realize how much ‘Saturday Night Live’ SUCKS nowadays!!! The break neck pacing of this show is amazing! Lots of laughs guaranteed!!! ‘Spitbaby’ is a stomach-churning sketch but it’s fun to share gross out laughter with strangers! It was quite a bonding experience…(sniff).

All I have to say is when I closed my eyes to go to sleep after I saw this show the face of the ‘tick’ flashed across my brain and I was doubled over with laughter again.

An amazing group of people working together making serious comedy…

This is a MUST SEE of the Rogue!

I absolutely love these guys. Granted, they’ve welcomed me into the group with loving arms, but I’ve seen them perform a hundred times and they STILL make me laugh. You’ll hear my guffawing from the soundboard in the back. If you see me, say hi. Thanks to all the wonderful Rogue staff that have become good friends!

Solid from start to finish, this is the best hour of sketch comedy I have ever seen. I loved this show so much - they’re tight, clever, energetic, hilarious, and they manage to be polished and wild at the same time, never missing a beat. The performances and the writing are equally and definitely strong. Absolutely delicious!

Sketch comedy is over.

Thank goodness these people ignored that memo.

I haven’t had that much fun in an hour since… hm. Not going there. Suffice it to say I was bowled over by the varieties of hilarity I experienced as they blasted sketch after sketch across the stage.

Who knew there were varieties of hilarity?

Loved this show and I hope hope hope hope they come back next year!
