I love Mallory Moad, and will support everything she ever ever does. She is Fresno’s ONLY performance artist (that I know of) and mixes media and improv and acting and is fearless and and and.

Having said that, it’s unfortunate that I saw this show at Club Fred in it’s first incarnation, and I really liked that version much better. This version uses Mallory onstage and one projection screen with nifty animation and character work, but I miss her sifting through the crowd to try and unplug the devilish TV causing her headache to roar. She owned the space at Club Fred, and seemed small in Ashtree.

The show was shorter this time, and the animation/projection needed editing. Mallory only said two lines this show.

If I’m lucky, I’ll be able to see Mallory’s newest entry. I too have seen her in many incarnations doing all kinds of smart and thought-provoking/imagination-provoking performances.
Her stuff is always worth it–and it’s usually a lot of fun at the same time.
