There's a German saying that a joke is the hole where the truth falls out. During a great deal of "Bullet Point" I laughed so much that my stomach hurt, and tears came to my eyes. But there is more to this show than that. I had been looking forward to seeing Jaguar Bennett's work before I came to Fresno, and I am so glad that I have had the chance to see him. In his portrait of a difficult man - or rather, a man who would be so easy to dislike - Jaguar displays an exquisite sensitivity in his work as a writer and as a performer, and creates an indelible character. I laughed while I was there, but the truth that fell out of the hole will remain with me - I learned something important, and I still wonder what will become of Driscoll. And, even more, I enjoyed it!

Jag's best work ever.

It was INCREDIBLY smart to change what he did during the Rogue Year 'Round to this piece about a character, rather than being about Jag.

I've already told him personally my points...I wish the power-point could have brought the jokes on-screen one at a time sometimes instead of all 6 hilarious points at once, because I was cry/laughing so hard I missed Jag's talking about the power point.

Also, this show DEMANDS better polish and rehearsal.

Final note...there needs to be an anti-climax, even if it's just one or two more slides, because the pin-dropping middle of the show hurts, and I need an escape back to reality.

Best acting by Jag ever, best show ever, get there VERY EARLY because Ashtree can only hold so many people.

OK, so this is awkward - I'm also a Rogue performer, and the last performance of "Bullet Point" is right before my show - aaaaalmost to the point where you wouldn't be able to make mine if you went to see "Bullet Point."

Yet I still have to recommend it.

That's gotta say something, right? It goes against my festival survival instinct to recommend you go see something that would actually prevent you from seeing my show, but "Bullet Point" was so good that I'm left with no choice.

Jaguar Bennet is hilarious, has amazing comic timing and really "gets" powerpoint, which is why he is able to parody it in such a smart and skillful manner. You don't have to have (or have had) a corporate career to double over with laughter at Jag's show. It's funny, poignant, incredibly clever, and just geeky enough to appeal to your Inner Dilbert.

It will surely sell out - again - so get there early.

Bullet Point didn’t provide the constant laughs I expected. That’s not necessarily bad, because it was more dramatic than I expected, presenting a bit of an emotional roller coaster and a story arc. Jaguar Bennett gave a wonderful and convincing performance as the businessman coming to terms with the rough points in his life. Though I wished the show hadn’t gotten quite as serious as it did, but there were still plenty of laughs, and it ended with a fantastic punch. Anyone who has to deal with PowerPoint presentations and Excel charts on a regular basis will especially appreciate their very clever use in this show!

Wow!!! What started out slowly built into such a caustic and hilarious catharsis and then like a kidney punch knocked the air right out of me! What a mood ride! A well crafted show, but may not be for everyone. Warning: The language gets pretty raw!

I liked Bullet Point - a droll view of corporate America. The raw language would have been more effective if sprinkled lightly instead of poured on.

-means I REALLY better see it while you're still around...)
-totally broke my heart with the slide of the characters son...
Brilliant stuff, Jag.
