See the faces — and the lives — of the nation’s African-American
heritage. This historical exhibit was original compiled by civil rights
pioneer W.E.B. Dubois for the 1900 World’s Fair. With meticulous
sociological research, DuBois documented Georgia’s turn-of-the-century
African-American community in over 300 photographs and over 60 charts.
Focusing his camera on Georgia’s cultivated black middle class, DuBois
