A Social Study by W.E. Burchardt DuBois
Black & White Photography

See the faces — and the lives — of the nation’s African-American heritage. This historical exhibit was original compiled by civil rights pioneer W.E.B. Dubois for the 1900 World’s Fair. With meticulous sociological research, DuBois documented Georgia’s turn-of-the-century African-American community in over 300 photographs and over 60 charts. Focusing his camera on Georgia’s cultivated black middle class, DuBois introduced the world the achievements of African Americans.

NO ROGUE READY PASSES!

Fame, glamour, ego, politics, money, war, love … and dance.

Unearthing a treasure trove of archival footage, filmmakers Dan Geller and Dayna Goldfine have fashioned a dazzlingly entrancing ode to the revolutionary twentieth-century dance troupe known as the Ballets Russes. What began as a group of Russian refugees who never danced in Russia became not one but two rival dance troupes who fought the infamous “ballet battles” that consumed London society before World War II
