ROGUE 2007 FILM VENUE APPLICATION GUIDELINES

Successful Rogue Film applicants will be assigned to a Rogue Film Venue. A Rogue Film venue can seat between 30-50 audience members.

Rogue Film is open to films varying lengths to be packaged for viewing slots in the Rogue. Rogue Film is open to all categories of film, including Narrative Shorts and Features, Documentary Shorts and Features, Animation, and Experimental. Shorts are 45 min. or less. Features are 46 min. or more.

THE APPLICATION FEE IS DETERMINED ON THE LENGTH OF YOUR FILM.

* UP TO 15 MIN.: $15

* 16 - 30 MIN.: $30

* 31- 45MIN: $45

* FEATURE (45 MIN. AND LONGER): $75

NON- REFUNDABLE PROCESSING FEE: $25

MAXIMUM TICKET PRICE: $7

MAXIMUM SEATING:30-50

Applicants with more than one short film may submit their films as a package with ONE application (5 title limit) . Applications will list the length of each film and total the accumulated length to determine which category they are applying for.

TECHNICAL PRODUCTION

Films must be must be submitted in one of the following formats: VHS (NTSC), mini DV, VCD or DVD (region 1). All Rogue Film Venues will be equipped with DVD/video players, video projectors and necessary equipment and Rogue Festival staff to ensure a successful presentation of your film.

BOX OFFICE/TICKETS

Each company with a feature length film (46 minutes or more) sets its own ticket price (rounded off to the nearest dollar) up to a maximum of $7.

Short films will be presented in package presentations with a $7 ticket price. Box office receipts will be fairly divided between individuals or companies submitting films

PLEASE NOTE: the Rogue reserves the right to sell and will be selling Rogue Ready Passes. Rogue Film Venue participants will receive 70% of the ticket price for any audience member using a Rogue Ready Pass to see your film.

WHAT YOU GET IF YOU SECURE A SLOT:

WE PROVIDE

* Viewings of your film scheduled in rotation in,

* 1 Rogue Film Venue outfitted with appropriate film showing equipment that accommodates between 30-50 audience members

* The Rogue provides one technician for your production.

* Inclusion in the Rogue Map program guide, website and overall event publicity

* All front of house staff (i.e., box office, usher and house manager)

* And, most importantly, companies receive 100% of their box office receipts

YOU PROVIDE

* A fully prepared, rights secured, audience ready film or films.

* All Rogue Festival materials (e.g., contractual, technical, promotional, etc.) ON TIME when requested.

* A set ticket price (for feature films) of no more than $7 (rounded to the nearest dollar).

* All your travel/food/ production/royalties/union fees/misc. expenses.

* Your own specific promotional materials (pictures, reviewer packets, flyers, posters, etc.) for your distribution.
